🥃 Inside the Distillery | Episode 3

One of the things that makes Revival Rum unique is the space we have in our distillery.

In this video, James explains that having room for so many fermenting tanks means that we are able to ferment our rum for over 40 days. This makes such a difference to the flavour profile.

Have you ever wondered how rum is made? Let us know what you'd like James to cover in a future episode.

🍯 What makes our Honey & Anise Rum different?

Not all flavoured rums are created equal.

Revival Honey & Anise Rum balances the natural sweetness of honey with subtle notes of anise, creating a smooth, distinctive spirit that's delicious served with ginger ale.

🥃 Inside the Distillery | Episode 2

What happens once the molasses arrive at the distillery?

The clock starts ticking.

In this episode, James explains why the molasses are gently warmed to 33°C before the yeast is added, and why this stage is so important in creating the rich flavours that make Revival Rum unique.

Every stage of the process has a purpose – and this is just one of the many details behind every bottle.

Did you know every cask slowly loses a little rum as it matures?

Distillers call it the Angel's Share...

It's a completely natural part of the ageing process and one of the reasons well-aged rum develops such wonderful character.

Where does rum begin?

Not in the barrel. Not in the still.

It begins with sugar cane.

Most traditional rum is made from molasses – a rich, dark syrup produced during the sugar-making process. It's the starting point for fermentation, where yeast converts the natural sugars into alcohol before distillation.

At Revival Rum, we import quality molasses before beginning our long fermentations and distillation using a traditional copper double retort still.

Quality ingredients. Time. Patience. Rum.
