This week at the Den, we have a beautiful vintage Dragonfly Tiffany Lamp.
Stained glass 16 inch shade, heavy metal stand.

"The Tiffany lamp style, pioneered by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, is renowned for its intricate stained glass designs, often depicting nature motifs like flowers, insects, and landscapes. These lamps were characterized by their handcrafted construction, using copper foil and solder to assemble individual pieces of colored glass, creating vibrant and luminous works of art. The dragonfly motif, in particular, became one of Tiffany's most iconic and sought-after designs, symbolizing transformation and grace."

"While original Tiffany Studios lamps are highly valuable collector's items, the market is also flooded with numerous reproductions and Tiffany-style lamps made by various manufacturers. These reproductions aim to capture the aesthetic appeal of the originals at a more accessible price point, making the style popular for home decor. The quality and value of these reproductions can vary significantly depending on the materials used, craftsmanship, and the specific design."
