Bayeux stitch is a filling stitch, and it's economical with thread, which is probably why it features heavily in the Bayeux Tapestry.

I've made up some inspiration packs which will be for sale in my studio shop. Mostly in vintage colour palettes with large linen base panels and beautiful Clarke & Clarke fabric swatches for applique. They all vary, and most have Appletons or Anchor wool skeins and vintage buttons. It's a project in a pack!

I am so looking forward to the next workshop at the studio!

Rug Hooking with Jill Rosalind, the lovely lady behind the organisation of the exhibition 'Small Beginnings, Great Expectations & The Lost Jackets' which will be situ in my studio from Saturday until the 3rd of October.

The exhibition will be all around us as we work on crafting a small rug.
