An update from Ty Crefft.

This isn’t quite the update we had planned to give you.

This week, after five long weeks, we were supposed to be completing the sale and Ty Crefft would have officially had new owners. Unfortunately, last week the prospective buyers unexpectedly pulled out.

To be honest, it’s taken us a few days to write this update because it was such a shock, and we’re still incredibly disappointed and frustrated by what has happened (and that’s putting it politely!)

As you know, we can’t simply sell Ty Crefft to just anyone. It’s very important to us that it goes to the right person — someone who genuinely loves arts, crafts and the wonderful community of makers that makes Ty Crefft what it is. Ideally, we’d love to see a crafter, or group of crafters, take the shop on and continue its story.

For now, it is very much business as usual at Ty Crefft. We are going to keep going and hope that the right person comes along.

We’re going to give it until January to find a new buyer. If we haven’t found the right person by then, sadly, we will have to close Ty Crefft.

We really hope this isn’t the end of the story.

Thank you, as always, for all your support.
