We’re Hiring! – Reuse Shop Manager (Foots Cray Recycling Centre)

An exciting opportunity has opened up to join our team as the Reuse Shop Manager at the brand-new shop at Foots Cray Recycling Centre!

This is your chance to make a real difference for the environment and the local community while working in a rewarding and hands-on role.

What you’ll be doing:
• Helping customers find pre-loved treasures
• Testing and cleaning donated items ready for sale
• Carrying out some manual handling as part of daily duties
• Supporting the shop’s day-to-day running

Working hours:
The shop is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday – so weekend working is essential.

So this is Christmas.
Plenty of things for us to reflect on but for now, we would like to celebrate 1000 trees purchased thanks to money raised from all our ticket sales this year plus a generous donation from our friends at 'Community Reuse'.
These saplings will be planted by Chris Hill and his team of volunteers from Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust at Cossington Meadows.
Of course it's no magic cure for the plight of the planet, but just a positive action for wildlife, creating shelter and food for a variety of species.
Thanks to everyone who supported us this year to enable us to do this, including a steadfast group of wonderful volunteers.
We hope to be able to continue with this and more in 2024!
