Here are some of my favourite drawings (and why!) Which is your favourite, 1-7?

It was a struggle to narrow it down to 7!

Each of these drawings holds a special place for me for different reasons. Some mean something personally, some were a technical drawing challenge/improvement. Mostly though they were just brilliant reference photos that I had the privilege to draw from and loved doing so!

The gorgeous Cassie 😍

I just had to take a photo of Cassie framed as I was really pleased with the finished product and thought she deserved it!

Cassie is drawn on a smaller 5x7 portrait which is the perfect size framed on a desk, top of a cupboard or mantlepiece. They also make great gifts!

Who knew birds feet looked so strange?

As I was drawing this one I kept having to really look at the reference to check I was doing it right because what is the angle of that right foot! But that is how it looks. Hopefully once I've drawn the branch it will make a little more sense 😂

Did you know these lil guys cuddle up to keep warm?

Just one of the reasons the long tailed tit is my favourite bird 🐦‍⬛ it's been on my 'to draw' list for some time now. Along with actually getting round to drawing my own dog Mack and when I manage to find them again post move, finishing some drawings of photos I took of Caleb as a newborn. But apparently this lil bird ranks above both of those! 😂

Caleb did however help me choose the music for this photo, so I hope you like it!

For me it's not just about the drawing...

It's about the memory, or more likely set of memories,that drawing will bring back whenever it's looked at. This drawing for me will always bring back happy memories of my little boy and my dog starting to become friends.

Loved doing this little sketch to help me warm back up after taking a short pause on commissions! I'm now feeling ready to work my way though my bookings having now moved house and completed my Forest School Leader Qualification (woohoo!).
