So this has been the first proper week of using my cash envelopes. Some of them I’m using for savings - Christmas, birthdays, annual holiday etc and others I’m using for budgeting - petrol, food shop, self care, bus money.
So far for me it has been great. I haven’t taken my debit card to work and have used the cash put aside instead. It’s actually amazing cause instead of mindlessly tapping the pennies away, I’ve had to really think about spending physical money and contemplate breaking a tenner 😂. As I have different uses for different envelopes I’ve made a ‘Budget Tracker’ and a ‘Savings Tracker’ sticker for the back of the wallets. It’s motivational and helps to remind me when I’ve already put dosh in there (baby brain is definitely kicking in). Does anyone else have any other crafty ways of putting money aside or saving? Would love to hear :)
