Last night, our team were back at the River Trent Footbridge in Nottingham to carry out light level testing on our bespoke handrail lighting system📈

The project features our Pictor 4 48V asymmetric luminaires & power enclosures, delivering high-performance, uniform illumination while integrating seamlessly into the bridge handrail.

It's always rewarding to return to a project and see the system doing exactly what it was designed to do!

🚆Set to open weeks ahead of schedule, Balgray station will welcome its first passengers on Sunday, 27 September.

Story Contracting is proud to have played a key role in delivering this new station for Network Rail , helping create better rail connections between Barrhead and Glasgow while supporting a growing local community.

With the main construction phase complete, final snagging works, safety checks and test train operations are now underway ahead of opening day.

Delivered in partnership with Network Rail, East Renfrewshire Council , Transport Scotland and ScotRail , this Glasgow City Region City Deal project will make it easier for people to travel for work, education and leisure, while improving access to local destinations across the area.

A fantastic milestone and a testament to the collaboration, expertise and hard work of everyone involved. 👏

Another successful lighting project with Story’s/Network Rail✅

Our teams were proud to complete the works on the new £5.2m bridge connecting Kirkland and Mountfleurie, delivered on behalf of our client, Network Rail Scotland, and funded by Fife Council.

The new bridge provides safe and accessible walking, wheeling and cycling connections over the recently completed Levenmouth Rail Link - supporting active travel and improving community links. 🤝
