It’s really interesting hearing which of these two designs you like the best (previous post). I’ve turned the images so they are both hanging vertically now. Which would you choose now? Same, or different? ###

I just love these two designs. Which do you like best? ###

This little video is an introduction to the 6 month version of the Sketch to Stitch course. This workshop contains all the videos from the first 3 themes in the Sketch to Stutch course - incase you missed it. ‘Still Life’ ‘John Pipers Foliate Heads’ and ‘ Pebbles & Shells’ Uts been a wonderful course and we’ve made some great pieces. We cover using dyes and paints on fabric and paper, plus using mixed media, stamps, stencils and templates. Nearly 80 videos with instant access and lifetime access - I think you might enjoy it.
The video explains the course and also gives you a peep at some of the design and sketchbook work we’ve done. Hope to see you there ###

Still sharing from The Festival of Quilts!! I took a lot of photos it seems. This one was in the novice category and I fell in love with it. Called ‘Throw in the Towel’ by Barbara Borland. The texture and colour combinations were really beautiful - if I’d been a judge, this would have been my judges choice I think. I’ve added some close ups so you can appreciate the detail. Well done Barbara ###

A little close up of the first of my Strippy Scrappy Patchwork Still Life pieces - very nearly complete. I have finished and mounted it now and I’ll share the result. It’s very a very happy piece from a very happy workshop. And some great work and chat in the group as well. Why don’t you treat yourself?
The videos have grown to 20 (!!) and I will be adding more as I make 2 more pieces. I just couldn’t resist

Ive not finished with sharing some of the competition quilts from The Festival of Quilts! I really hope its bringing a fallout of the show for all of you who couldn’t get there, and happy reminders for those who did
I really loved this quilt in the sustainable category - ‘You shelter me’ by Anne Barwick
I read it as a huge boro type quilt based on a medallion layout. Beautiful fabrics and kantha type stitching
Gorgeous - I’d shelter under this xx
