Lots in flower and lots about to flower at my little wildflower nursery, plant sale this Saturday 14th June 💚 at black rabbit mini farmers market, Stokeinteignhead, TQ12 4QL 10am till midday. Native wildflowers, pollinator friendlies and a small selection of herbs, guaranteed to bring a buzz to your gardens. Also joining us this market True Breads amazing sourdough creations Pat a Cake for some lush sweet treats Higher Nurture herbal remedies Beardon Dexters for the best meat around and quality greek olive oil from EORA, Jack and his local honey. As well as Black Rabbit for ciders and BBQ charcoal, with a new cider available to try.

Plant stall set up for tomorrow 💚 and looking lush 🤩loads of wild lovelies to attract bees and butterflies into your space, for sale I have ragged robin, nettle leaved bellflowers, bladder campion, birds foot trefoil, purple loostrife, wild marjoram, white musk mallow, wild chicory, common toadflax, common mallow, spreading bellflower, sawwort, pink musk mallow, bugle, wild basil, vipers bugloss, yarrow, greater knapweed, white dead nettle, garlic mustard, corncockles and foxgloves 😎 non natives but pollinator friendlies Calendula, verbena bonariensis and cardoons. Went for a lush walk this morning around the farm looking for spring beauties, which were numerous. But I found myself appreciating all the holes I found too. Signs of life, munched leaves, all part of a bigger story, all as important as each other, not always pretty, just different pieces of a really amazing jigsaw

It's raining!! which is good news for gardeners after the unseasonably long dry spell. A perfect time to get some plants in the ground 💚.

There are a couple of spaces still available for our herb walk this Saturday 10-12 at the farm, come and learn what April has to offer for foraging in the woods. We will take a wander through the biodiverse ancient woodland, identifying and tasting the abundant plant life here, gather herbs and then make tea around an open fire.
