🏁 A Thrilling Finale at Castle Combe! 🏁
The final round of the CHASE Equipment Historic Modsports & Special Saloons series, proudly supported by Black Shuck Distillery, took place at the Castle Combe Autumn Classic last weekend and what a showdown it was.

The battle at the front was nothing short of epic.
Steve Barnard’s rapid Es**rt clinched victory in both races, fending off the iconic Vauxhall Magnum ‘Baby Bertha’ of Joe Ward in two nail‑biting finishes.

Race 1: just 0.27 seconds between them

Race 2: only 0.88 seconds at the line

These results seal Steve’s hat trick of wins, following his triumphs at Thruxton and Croft. An incredible run of form and a well‑earned celebration.

We’re proud to support a series that delivers such passion, heritage, and heart‑stopping racing.

This week we’re celebrating one year of David volunteering at Black Shuck Distillery — and what a year it’s been.

David brings skills, energy, and plenty of smiles to the distillery every single week. He’s become a truly valued member of Team Black Shuck, always ready to help, always ready to learn, and always adding something special to the day.

It’s been fabulous having him with us over the past year, and we’re looking forward to many more memorable moments ahead.

13.1 miles of stunning scenery, sand dunes, rugged footpaths, sea views, supporters, food stations, sunshine, wind and smiles, plenty of smiles.

Today Mr and Mrs Shuck will be joining hundreds of other runners taking on the Coastal Half Marathon. Starting at Burnham Overy Staithe and finishing at Morston.

Sarah will be running with 5 other ladies aka The Hooligans. They will be passing through Wells sometime around 12.30.

Patrick will be running with the legend Ian K. Please give them an extra cheer if you see them on route. Ian is registered blind and will be using Patrick to guide him.
They hope to be running through Wells at around 11.45am.

With the news feeling a bit relentless lately, a little drop of calm goes a long way.

So tonight we will be pouring a glass of Black Shuck Damson Port, served alongside a platter of cheese and biscuits, as we welcome the weekend. We will then sit back, relax and enjoy.
