Week 3 of the On The Hook Threads by Laura Wild Stitch Scarf Project 🧶💜

Week 3 is done – and this one was made in the sunshine while on holiday! ☀️🏖️🧶

This week's stitch was the Wild Camel Stitch, using my colour number 7 – LoveCrafts Paintbox in Lime Green 💚

I completed 12 rows for each scarf and made a slight variation to the Wild Camel Stitch by just doing one double crochet at the end of each row. I found this made the pattern look much more balanced, and I actually preferred this version to the Camel Stitch variation I've tried before.

I really enjoyed working this stitch, and that vibrant lime green is lush! 💚

And of course, the stash-busting continues! 😍 I had enough yarn left to make another two granny squares – a Tupli Granny Square and a Boho Floral Star Granny Square.

I also started a Cluster Cross Granny Square, getting the first two rounds done, and made four 16-double-crochet rounds which I'm planning to use as the centres for some other granny square ideas.

So that's another week ticked off! ✅

I'm now back home after a very long journey back from holiday 😴🚗 and I'm ready to get stuck into Week 4 tomorrow! 💜🦋🧩

We are delighted to be taking part in this years ‘Lanarkshire Climate Action Festival’ alongside Anam Alba Creative CIC and Cumbernauld Village community council. Climate Action Lanarkshire

We are going to passing the sustainable parcel!

On Sunday 20th September 11am-2pm you can join us at 5 Tweed Walk to explore collage and artwork creation using items normally discarded. All ages welcome

We will also have a ‘swap shop’ available where you can ‘donate’ art and craft materials and also ‘get’ art and craft materials that may have been otherwise destined for landfill.

Finish Friday 🧶
Finished this super soft and squishy chenille blanket commission this week. Made in a traditional Granny Square pattern in Divante Silver Grey it's perfect for snuggling.
It's been a challenge to finish this week in nearly 30° weather but I'm glad it's done and it will be delivered tomorrow 💜🧶
