𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗥

𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭.

Looking back through the thousands of photos we've taken over the last year, there are a few moments that stand out.

This was one of them.

When we first walked into the building, it was little more than an empty shell. Every decision was still on paper, and everything we wanted to create existed only in our heads.

Then the glazing went in..

It wasn't the biggest milestone on the project, but it changed the way we looked at the building.

For the first time, it felt less like a construction site and more like somewhere with a future.

There was (is..) still an enormous amount of work ahead, but this was one of those moments that reminded us why we'd taken the project on in the first place.

Looking back now, it's amazing how much has changed since these photographs were taken.

𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗥

One of the things we've loved most over the last few years isn't just the shop itself...

It's the people.

The friendships that have been made around a gaming table.

The conversations over a coffee.

The excitement of opening a new booster box.

The celebrations after a hard-fought win.

The moments where complete strangers became regulars... and regulars became friends.

That's what we're building.

Not just a bigger shop, but somewhere our community can spend time together.

So here's a question...

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼?

Whether it's:

• Sitting down for your first Commander game.
• Browsing the shelves.
• Ordering a coffee.
• Meeting friends.
• Painting miniatures.
• Having a pint after Friday Night Magic.

𝗪𝗲'𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘁.

𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗥

𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.

These are some of the very first photographs we took inside our new store.

When we first walked through these doors last year , all we had was an empty shell and a lot of ideas.

Most people would probably have looked around and wondered where on earth to begin.

But we saw the potential.

We spent hours walking from one end of the building to the other, throwing ideas around.

"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦."

"𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦."

"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳."

"𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺?"

At that point, none of it existed.

There were no walls.

No counters.

No bar.

No dedicated play space.

Just an empty building... and a project that, if we're honest, probably felt a little ambitious.

Looking back at these photos now, it's hard to believe this is where it all began.

Sometimes you have to look beyond what's in front of you and trust your instincts.

We're glad we did.

This is where the journey began.

After months of planning, designing, dreaming, we're incredibly excited to announce that 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲!

This has been over a year in the making, and this isn't just a move to a bigger building. It's everything we've dreamt The Tinsoldier could become.

Every booster pack you've bought, every game you've played, every event you've attended, every recommendation you've made to a friend, and every bit of support you've shown us has helped make this possible.

𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆... 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

The new store is being built with one goal in mind - creating the best place possible to play, meet friends, and enjoy the hobbies we all love.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴...

• Dedicated play space for trading card games, board games and RPGs

• A café serving great coffee, drinks and fantastic food

• A licensed bar for evening gaming sessions

• Space for birthday parties, private hire and community events

• A much larger retail space packed with all your favourite games and hobbies

More than anything, we want The Tinsoldier to be somewhere you can call home. Whether you're discovering your first Pokémon deck, painting your first miniature, drafting Magic with friends, or introducing your kids to tabletop gaming, we want everyone to feel welcome.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱.

There's still plenty of work ahead, and that's exactly why we wanted to bring you in at the beginning of the journey.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀, 𝘄𝗲'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆.

We honestly can't wait to open the doors and welcome you all.
