HAPPY PINA COLADA FESTIVAL

It's the Pina Colada Festival in Northwich today and will feature live music, a Caribbean fusion of street performances and of course Pina Coladas as far as the eye can see! Although we're slightly out of the town centre, we're still in spirit over here at Mountain Outfitters Northwich and will be heading into town after work to take part!!

If your heading over to visit us today, come and meet the grumpy pineapple and pop into Northwich and enjoy the festivities!

So… What’s It All About?
Back in 2021, something amazing came to light—Rupert Holmes, the man behind the iconic hit “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)”, was actually born right here in Northwich in 1947! That’s right—the smooth, tropical anthem that’s been stuck in our heads for decades has roots in our very own town.

When the news broke, the internet lit up with excitement. Locals and fans alike loved the idea of celebrating this quirky connection, and just like that, the Piña Colada Festival was created by the businesses in Northwich town centre – blending sunshine, music, and a big splash of Northwich pride.

Since then, the festival has grown into a full-blown summer spectacular, bringing the community together in a one-of-a-kind celebration no other town can claim. Because let’s face it—if you like Piña Coladas… you really should be in Northwich!

Finally some rain........... and we've got plenty of waterproof stock to keep you dry in the wetter/more humid conditions forecast this week, loads of stock across all options but we wanted to highlight a top pick which is unique to us.

Kangri Active has a lightweight active face fabric coupled with a GTX performance membrane for that great mix of breathable/tough and versatile jacket. Light enough for summer months but with features taken from our Kangri jacket for all year round use.... and only £168

Also received some stock of a brand new bag - Women's ascent -6c , featuring 480g of 650 fill power european duck down, we have left zip bags which have a more relaxed fit for anyone who doesn't like a tight mummy shaped bag and can be coupled with a men's right zip to create a large bag
