☀️🌡️ Heatwave Alert – Keep Your Horse Happy & Hydrated! 💦🐴

With the temperatures soaring, it's more important than ever to make sure your horse stays cool and well hydrated.

Here are a few simple ways to help:

💧 Ensure they always have access to fresh, clean water.
🧂 Add electrolytes (if appropriate) to replace essential salts lost through sweating.
🪣 Offer extra water buckets in the stable and field.
🥕 Try soaking feeds or adding water-rich treats like soaked hay or mash to increase water intake.
🌳 Provide plenty of shade and avoid riding during the hottest part of the day.
🚿 Cool your horse down with cold water after exercise and scrape off excess water before repeating if needed. You can leave the water covering their body to leave them feeling cooler for longer!
