Hello everyone! How are you all doing, good I trust! Just an update as to my total absence, so what have I been doing?!? We’ve been busy renovating our home for just over a year now. Life’s been hectic between renovating one home and keeping our rental home from going feral with all the craziness 🤪. Our nearly 11 year old left primary school, so lots of lovely leavers things to be part of, whilst caring for our gorgeous fur baby boy, who we lost over the rainbow Monday 💔🌈🌟💫.

I did however manage to squeeze in a couple of embroidery gifts, for my youngest daughter to give out, as she left primary school this time. These are those below, they were a pleasure to make and made me realise just how very much I’ve been missing my creative outlet all this time.

However, every cloud has a silver lining and once we’re home and unpacked. I’ll have my new sewing room to look forward to getting into, where I can shut the door at night and know I don’t have to tidy up, nor to move a thing 😉🤣. Where I can concentrate on making lovely things again and make my heart happy 😍🥳🤩

A throwback to when it all began 2017, with my first Christmas reindeers. Crafty Bee’s was started after we had our baby girl who’s now 10, it doesn’t feel that long ago but it is. 💖

So it’s January and I decided it was time to dust off my machines and get going last week …. My sewing machine had other ideas, just starting to practice free motion sewing (which is fun but needs lots of concentration) then the feed dogs wouldn’t go back up 🤦🏻‍♀️. So off to Dave (my other knight in shining armour) to work his magic on it. Now waiting for the call that it’s been fixed. Thankfully nothing bad and needs a new part, but has to be taken apart to replace it. I’m hoping soon, as part of me is missing.

So as I needed my creative fix, my embroidery machine has had a hammering instead. Just a couple of projects I’ve had in mind, got started. 😍🙌

Downside is I need my sewing machine back to finish them …. patience Lisa 😅

When I have a wonderful returning client who asks if I can make a Christmas Stocking, for a special little one, in traditional red and white colours! 😍😍 Well of course I can and absolutely loved every minute of making this creation. Why is it so special …. well for one it’s all hand made.

🔺I love embroidery but this is me mastering my machine that little bit more exploring re-sizing and text, which I’ve never done before
🔺The stocking is all handmade, I don’t buy the stocking in, it’s all made to measure
🔺 It has its own decorative lining and hanging loop
🔺 You won’t find this on the high street, it’s completely individual
🔺 Nothing beats seeing my clients face on seeing it for the first time 😍😍 now that’s super special, a moment that I wish I could bottle up

It’s so lovely to be back at my machines and enjoying creating again. 🐝🐝

Well what a gorgeous day it’s turned out to be here 😎. I’m busy working on an order, great to be back and making 🫶🏻 again.

As we prepare to have work start on our home, it’s been a busy few months of prep and playing let’s move the house about, in readiness for demolition. 😂😅 It will all be so worth it in the end. 👍

In the meantime, if you’d like any of these mug coasters, all embroidered they are 4 for £15. I have a choice of 2 colours, pale blue and a pale green. Please see previous post for images 🐝🐝
