Free Christmas Car Parking in Otley!

Christmas Treat for Otley shoppers.
Otley Town Council has received news from Leeds City Council that they are to allow FREE Christmas parking on all council car parks (Beech Hill, Courthouse Street, North Parade) for the four weekends leading up to Christmas, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

It has also been confirmed that car parking charges will be suspended from 3pm on Monday 28th November on the day of the Otley Christmas Lights switch-on and fireworks display. This will allow residents to come into town early and enjoy everything on offer.

Leeds City Councillor, Cllr Colin Campbell who assisted in organising the free parking said "This commitment from Leeds City Council is intended to encourage residents and visitors into Otley to enjoy our local festive events and to do their Christmas shopping."

Cllr Paul Carter, Chair of otley Town Council Trade & Tourism Committee said "We are expecting many people to take advantage of the free parking on offer and to choose Otley as their destination for Christmas shopping. There is an excellent variety of shops here and with free parking over the weekends it will be a convenient option for local people and visitors to support their local businesses and economy."
