tanyarobinson.org I’m Tanya Robinson, a natural dye artist and educator. tanyarobinson.org Hi, I am Tanya. I am a natural dye and fibre artist.

I offer creative plant dye tasters, sessions, and group workshops—inviting you to explore, create, and experience the slow, beautiful colours of nature. I invite you to learn how to make your own natural dye baths and experience creating your seasonal accessories from softest wool and luxury silk fibres. I run regular online wool-felting and natural dyes courses and sessions for small groups and individuals, where people can experience these materials and processes for themselves.

MEET THE MULLER

If you’ve never used a glass muller before, get ready — it’s one of the most soothing tools in the studio.
Slow circles, gentle pressure, and suddenly your pigment turns silky, smooth, and beautifully workable.

It’s almost meditative.
And yes, you’ll get to try it yourself. 🎨

This year, I’m leaning into gift-giving with a little more heart—and Furoshiki wraps have become my favourite way to do it.

There’s something special about taking a moment to fold, tie, and create a wrapping that adds meaning before the gift is even opened. It slows everything down in the best way, turning a simple present into a small ritual of care.

My family even uses Furoshiki as lunch wraps now, and it’s become one of those small, joyful habits that brightens our days.

Furoshiki wraps encourage intention: choosing a fabric that suits the person, reusing materials that already carry stories, and offering something beautiful that won’t end up in the trash. It feels good to give in a way that’s gentler on the planet and richer in sentiment.

If you’re hoping to make your giving more thoughtful this season, try wrapping a gift in a fabric you love, a scarf they’ll wear again, or a print that reminds you of them. Small choices like these help transform presents into moments—ones that linger long.

Giving with purpose, wrapping with meaning, and sharing a little extra love in every fold.

Each season brings its own quiet gifts — soft fibres, fallen leaves, seed pods, roots, and blossoms — all waiting to be transformed. 🍂🌿 Working with these natural materials feels like a conversation with the earth, a way to stay rooted in the rhythm of the seasons.
There’s something deeply therapeutic in my practice — in gathering, preparing, and crafting slowly with what nature offers. It calms the mind, grounds the body, and reminds us that creativity is part of a larger, living cycle. This time, I’m leaning fully into the season — letting its colours, textures, and quiet moods guide my hands. And there’s such joy in feeling supported, as if nature is holding us while we make. 🌾 Join in and co-create in our gentle slow craft community this November ☺️
