Our first exhibition at ! ๐Ÿฅณ
This weekend we (myself and hubby Andy ) very proudly exhibited at the Kensington dollshouse fair in London.
Obviously we are no strangers of the show and were there along side our Shepherd Miniature stand with mum (Chris), very bravely taking on the crowds of lots of eager customers!

It was an amazing weekend (albeit a tad stressful), but, we were met with lots of excited customers that were thrilled to see Phoenix and Warwick Miniatures back on display after such a long time away (probably over 15 years).

We had so many lovely conversations with people, reminiscing about the products, telling us about the same items we were selling that they had bought years ago.
We even had one lovely American chap, who bought fireplaces for his house, to match other Phoenix ones he bought over 30 years ago!

I just love the history of these products, it's such a joy and privilege to be able to continue such a legacy of fantastic miniature items.

Now the show is over (and we've recovered๐Ÿ™ˆ), it will be all hands on deck to get the new Phoenix website up and running so watch this space! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ

Thanks again to everyone that came along to the show and made it such a special weekend for all of us exhibiters.

This has got to be one of my favourite Warwick Miniature (of which, we are the proud new owners of).
This 7 piece cruet set design has to be 30 years old and still going strong.
Plus, the mould (which must be 10 years old) still casts like a dream, and, once demoulded polishes up beautifully. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฉถ
When we finally get our new Phoenix website up and running, I'm hoping to have a section about the history of Phoenix/Warwick and Tony Knott. I have a lot of old Warwick Catalogues, but not much else and can't find much online. If anyone has any information about Warwick (when they began trading, owners etc) please DM me ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ.

We're going to have not one, but TWO stands at Kensington Dollshouse Festival next weekend!!! ๐Ÿค—๐ŸŽ‰

Obviously Shepherd Miniatures will be there with lots of new minis on display, plus our usual selection of items.
But, this time, what with taking on Phoenix Model Developments/Warwick Miniatures/Tony Knott last year, we thought it would be a good idea to keep those renowned names going by displaying them on thier own stand.
It's been well over 10 years since Phoenix Model Developments exhibited at a show, and although we had a few bits at the last KDF, this time we will have a lot more, plus some finished kits for inspiration. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ
We are sooo excited!!!
We're not in our usual spot, but not far away, so make sure to come over and say hi and check out our new venture.
Just need to finish making the stand now ๐Ÿ™ˆ

May the 4th be with you!

Obviously I had to do something for Star Wars day, so, I made myself a mini replica of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Return of the Jedi ๐Ÿ˜
I'd love to say that I actually made it light up, but alas, that might have to wait until next Star Wars day ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Can't help but find 1/6th scale really amusing. It looks huge compared to 1/12th yet it's still really cute! ๐Ÿ™ˆ

asked if I could make a set of 1/6th scale weights for her lovely mini gym, and, of course I couldn't say no ๐Ÿคญ I have to admit, despite it just being a scaled up version of the design I already have, it took a lot longer than I planned.
As we don't have metal casting moulds for a larger size weight, I obviously had to weight it differently ๐Ÿ˜.
So, I made the weights hollow and filled them with very fine metal pellets. ๐Ÿค—

Having made this model, I've now realised that with 1/6th scale, not only is there being twice as much surface area to finish (obviously), but, being larger means you can see all the little imperfections far more than you can on 1/12th.

Basically, despite my optimism, twice as big does mean twice as much work, even if the design is already done ๐Ÿ™ˆ
But, to see the result standing next to the 1/12th version made it totally worth it! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Free mystery bag of minis with every ยฃ20 spent at Shepherd Miniatures! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ
Just leave a note saying โ€œfreebieโ€ at checkout to grab yours ๐Ÿค—

I decided it was about time I thinned out some of the bits and pieces Iโ€™ve accumulated over the yearsโ€ฆ drawers full of โ€œIโ€™ll come back to that laterโ€, โ€œooh letโ€™s make theseโ€, and โ€œtoo good to throw away, but not quite good enough to sellโ€ ๐Ÿค” (I promise Iโ€™m not a hoarder ๐Ÿคญ).

So, for a limited time, for every ยฃ20 spent on our website, youโ€™ll receive a mystery bag of minis.
And yes โ€” multiples of ยฃ20 = multiple bags ๐Ÿ˜

The contents could be anythingโ€ฆ first-off prototypes, slightly imperfect pieces, or ideas that never quite made it into full production.

Pop your order in while they last ๐Ÿค—

I have a question for you all. โ“
I know, I'm a tad late for the Bafta awards this year, but, having made all these guys I obviously couldn't resist spending far too much time lining them up to take a photo ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ“ธ
But, now that I've made a load of stock, I've had an idea that I'd like to pass by you wonderful people!

How would you like it if they were made in METAL! ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿผ
Now that we are the proud new owners of , I'm thinking that it would be particularly cool to cast these in metal and then, and this would be very VERY cool, gold plate them!!! ๐Ÿ’›
Obviously they would be a bit more expensive, but, I think the added weight and quality would be well worth it.

I have also have some other awards (Oscar, Grammy and World Cup๐Ÿ†) that I think would make a fantastic collection.

So, what do you think? ๐Ÿค—

I'll be honest, I could quite easily eat all of these things (well, the full sized version that is ๐Ÿ˜†).
But, if I had to choose one, I'd probably have to go for the Creme Egg.
Super naughty, but just the one normally is enough! ๐Ÿ˜‹

What's your favourite?
Showing off a few of our new *'calorie free' chocolate bits for Easter!

*eating probably not advisable ๐Ÿ™ˆ

That's right, I've finally found time to add some long awaited items to the website!

These bits are definitely one of the best things I've created...that's not meant to be a brag, I just love how they came out and that they are actually HEAVY! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Don't know about you guys, but I am definitely a tactile person. So to have something that looks correct is one thing, but for it to feel right really makes all the difference for me.

Just to give you an idea, the barbell set weighs a whopping 80 grams! I know, doesn't sound like much, but believe me, for something so small, it's heavy! ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
