This is one of the most important posts that I’ll ever ask you to share.
Wiley, the rapper, an MBE, has called for Jews to be shot in possibly the worst racist tirade since Hi**er.
It went on for 11 hours unchecked, spreading lies and hate to half a million followers before Twitter stepped in and suspended his account, which is now back up and running. As I type, he is spreading hate on Instagram. As always, the comments are even more worrying.
I am laying down the gauntlet to any non Jewish friends, colleagues and clients, and any artists who have worked with this hate preacher. Stand up and be counted. Either by denouncing this filthy baseless hatred publicly, or educating yourselves on anti-Semitism.
Let your Jewish friends know today that they are not alone, and any non Jewish Facebook friends please speak out about this. Don't remain silent. This isn't OK.
This is not political. That would be like asking you which side of the ‘racial hatred debate’ you stand on. It’s not about politics. It’s not about Israel. This is about Jews. Like me.
It may have a technical name, ‘anti-Semitism’, as to suggest it’s not a form of racism. This is racism. This is hatred. Whenever the world is in trouble, Jews are blamed. Enough now.
