We have a 916SPS that has been waiting in the wings for a few years which had a crack in the rear of the casing. Unfortunately the owner gave it to a blind welder for repair who made things worse than they were - hopefully he didn’t pay the guy.
Yesterday I took the casings up to the chaps at Seager Engineering at Debenham, near Ipswich and had some good discussions regarding restoration (also snuck in some parts for a 900SS and MHR for overhaul). It will take some time as Pat & Jim are very busy but that gets a little more movement on some of the projects that we have. In the meantime it’s onward with the 996S recommissioning.
