What a season it has been for our amazing Under 9s and Under 11s at Featherstone Town Cricket Club! 🏏
Yesterday afternoon was all about celebrating our fantastic young players and everything they have achieved throughout the 2026 season. From learning the basics of the game, scoring their first runs and taking those all-important wickets, to simply having fun with their friends — every single one of them has given us so many reasons to be proud. 🥹❤️
At this age, cricket is about so much more than the scorecard. It’s about making friends, building confidence, learning to work as a team and creating memories that they’ll hopefully look back on for years to come.
Watching our U9s and U11s grow throughout the season has been incredible. Seeing them cheer each other on, celebrate each other's successes and pick each other up when things don't quite go their way is exactly what grassroots sport should be about.
A massive thank you to our brilliant coaches and volunteers for giving up their time, patience and energy every week. And to all the parents and families who bring them to training, matches and support them from the sidelines — we genuinely couldn't do it without you. ❤️
But most importantly, to our U9s and U11s…
Be proud of yourselves.
You've learned, you've laughed, you've made friends, you've worked hard and you've enjoyed playing cricket — and that's what really matters.
Here's to the memories we've made in 2026 and to many, many more to come!
