Happy Sunday lovelies ☀️
Quick question before I crack on —
What's the one job you keep avoiding until it's basically an emergency?
For me it's the front garden.
I love gardening.
Hate the front garden.
Don't even ask me why. 😂
Yesterday I finally caved.
Sunglasses on. Headphones on.
Got it done. No drama.
Stupid isn't it — the little things we just... don't do.
Anyway.
While I was out there pretending to be a functioning adult, we had some new arrivals land this week and honestly they are TOO cute.

The kids are already obsessed and I cannot blame them.

Balance, right now? It looks like doing less. On purpose.
What I'm protecting → time with the kids, actual creative energy, and the bit of me that needs a brew and a walk with the dog more than another to-do list.
I'm giving myself permission to build slower, post when I've actually got something to say, and stop apologising for taking the scenic route. Because honestly? Doing this on my own, while running a house and showing up for school meetings and autism assessments and all the quiet stuff nobody really sees, after a chapter of life I wouldn't wish on anyone, and still keeping a little business going in the background. I'm proud of what we've built. Quietly, but properly.
If you're in a season of stripping back rather than scaling up, same team. You're not behind. You're listening.

"Oh, that's an expensive hobby."
That one. That's the one that gets me every time.
CWcreations isn't a hobby. I didn't start sublimating mugs, coasters and tins at home because I needed a new hobby. I started it to help support my family — we're a single parent family, we've been doing the day-to-day a fair few miles from most of our relatives. It's a lot. Add in healing from past stuff, an autism diagnosis in the mix, and the usual school-and-teen chaos, and "a lot" feels like an understatement some weeks.

So I went quiet again! No mad excuses apart from life gets in the way when you're a single parent small business owner with multiple projects, who's slightly over-ambitious with planning and prone to imposter syndrome and burnout!
That said, I'm in a good place right now despite the chaos!
It's been a busy week — my youngest had some dental work, and we also had a disastrous evening that ended in a flooded bathroom, no electric, and the realisation I'll probably need to redecorate at some point 🥲
