Let's tell you a bit about Mack.

Mack is a UK based cleaning company that make planet-first cleaning products with a playful, cheeky voice - with product names like "Fat Buoy," "Hairy Scumbag," and "To Rimfinity".

Their products work with good bacteria which means their cleaners use surfactants and enzymes to lift grime, then natural bacteria move in to eat it, multiply, and keep cleaning long after you've finished.

They have some great options for the tough cleaning jobs like cleaning the dishwasher, washing machine and drains. Not all natural cleaning brands cover these.

Their products are:
VOC-free which means no volatile organic compounds, so nothing harsh or harmful to breathe in.

100% biodegradable, everything breaks down naturally, no nasties left behind.

Hi 👋 I'm Cat, I thought it would be nice to tell you a bit about me and why I started Drift & Dwell.

I am really interested in both natural products and reducing plastic and waste. I started changing products based on reducing plastic around the house. What I found is that the products I bought were also more natural with less chemicals.

Over time I have done lots of research into products and have tried loads!!! It can feel like a minefield knowing where to start.

I set up Drift & Dwell because I think lots of people feel overwhelmed at the idea of sustainable choices. That you have to be a hippy, where hessian and compromise. From what I have experienced that's not the case. There are great products around, that look good, smell good and actually work.

So no hippy, guilt vibes from us. Drift & Dwell is a collection of great products that I feel confident you will like. See like a corner shop full of ideas for your home. You can shop for a bit here or a bit there. No need to go to all different sites, with minimum orders or subscriptions.

The biggest thing I believe in is that change doesn't have to be absolute. You don't have to do it all at once. Small changes add up over time.

Miniml refills are always welcome to be returned to us as we can send them back to Miniml where they get reused and refilled.

We get our delivery from them with their local delivery route from their base in Yorkshire. It's great to know these products come from a family run business so local to us.

Miniml is a great natural option for you. Their products come in a range of sizes with refill options. You can either get the branded bottles or you can get their lovely amber glass bottles and a refill if you prefer too.

Hills I will die on!

You don’t have to be a hippy, earth mother to buy eco products.

Small changes are worth it. It’s good for your soul. When you start making changes you will feel good.

We should all try and reduce plastic, because we can.

There are better options available than the standard supermarket ones. I promise you will like them.

It’s not about changing because of guilt or obligation. It makes sense. Natural, less chemicals, less plastic.

Did you know that toothpaste tubes are one of the hardest things to recycle?

Supermarket toothpaste is full of chemicals and binding agents. Georganics is a natural science backed alternative that works.

We have Hydroxyapatite toothpaste, plastic free and vegan dental floss, and toothpaste tablets that you drop in a little bit of water to dissolve to make mouthwash. One jar of these is the equivalent of 7 plastic mouthwash bottles. cool right?

Two brand new Mack products in the Drift and Dwell shop.

Mack is a brilliant UK based cleaning brand that works on enzymes to clean your house naturally using biotechnology to harness natural chemical free cleaning using good bacteria.

How cool is that!

We already stock a some of the Mack cleaning and laundry range, but this two additions are new to Drift and Dwell.

Hairy Scumbag Drain Cleaner and Dr Dre'n Drain Speeder Upper. It's hard to find natural solutions to these types of household cleaning jobs but Mack is paving the way to better options.

These are my haircare recommendations for you. I've tried them all and they are great. Each one has its own benefits so it's down to personal preference.

They are all vegan, minimum 99.5% natural, SLS, paraben and silicone free.

Faith in Nature is a solid choice. It comes in attractive aluminum recyclable / reusable bottles, with refill options. Choices for all hair types too.

Miniml is a local brand, made in Yorkshire. Lovely light scent and refillable. They have a 1 Litre refill pouch option. You can buy the refillable shampoo and conditioner or their forever amber glass bottles.

KinKind is by far the best shampoo and conditioner bars I have tried. The shampoo lathers up and the conditioner is creamy. One bar lasts up to 50 washes. They are totally plastic free and compostable. There are options available for all hair types too.

I'd recommend anyone of these products to you to try in your sustainable and natural choices. Way better than the hughstreet options. No nasty chemicals, your hair and scalp will feel good and all round better for you. What not give one a try?
