WE DON'T NORMALLY POST THINGS LIKE THIS…

But we felt we should share this one — with permission from the customer, of course — because hopefully it will help avoid this situation happening in store in the future!

We received this message from a customer after her visit to Mystical-Stones today…

“I just wanted to apologise if it looked like my husband and I were arguing in your shop today i am so sorry if it made you feel uncomfortable."

Let me explain…

My husband came with me to Moss End Garden Village for a quick look around.

Coffee.

Something to eat.

A wander.

Maybe a few shops.

Nothing expensive.

Nothing unnecessary.

Definitely no crystals.

That was the plan.

Then we walked past Mystical Stones.

He looked at me.

I looked at him.

“Go on then,” he said.

Big mistake.

The second I walked through the door, I knew we weren't leaving quickly.

There were crystals everywhere.

Amethyst.
Quartz.
Labradorite.
Fluorite.
Fossils.
Statement pieces.
Huge geodes.
Beautiful jewellery.

Things I'd never even seen before.

My husband picked up a small crystal.

“How much is this?”

“£8.”

“That's alright.”

I smiled.

Then I picked up another.

“That's £12.”

“Still alright.”

Then another.

“£18.”

He stopped smiling.

“You said we were only looking.”

“I am only looking.”

“At what?”

“Everything.”

We wandered further into the shop.

And then we saw the big pieces.

The kind of crystals you don't just put on a shelf.

The kind that make you stop walking.

Huge Brazilian Amethyst.

Beautiful statement pieces.

Fossils that look like they've come straight out of another world.

Pieces with shapes, colours and patterns you could stare at for ages.

He looked at me.

“Where would you even put that?”

“I don't know.”

“Then why are you looking at it?”

“Because it's beautiful.”

That's when he knew.

We weren't just looking anymore.

We were emotionally attached.

Then came the sentence every crystal-shop husband eventually says.

“Fine. Get it.”

I didn't need telling twice.

But here's the thing about Mystical Stones.

It's not just the crystals.
