Repairing the rule joint on this Georgian oak kitchen table. It was covered in a horrible sticky varnish. Going to try stripping and liming this one. I’ll post up a photo when it’s done. to last

Nasty split in this regency period rosewood top , I’ve removed the framework and frieze so I can joint the top properly. I planed each edge leaving a very small gap ( less than 1mm) in the middle of the joint , this helps when glueing up with just one sash cramp.
