It’s kind of chic to look back and realise just how far you’ve come. ✨
I started making this post thinking about the business milestones… starting at my kitchen table, getting my products into garden centres, winning awards, building a business without really having a clue how to build a business! 😅
But somewhere along the way, I realised that the bits I’m proudest of aren’t really the things at all.
They’re the people. 💚
My Mum, who helped me start all those years ago - helping with the business, helping with the children and giving me the chance to make this crazy little idea work.
My children, and the fact that building my own business has given me the freedom to be there for them and not miss the moments that matter.
My ridiculously talented tutors, who I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside and who, over the years, have become great friends.
And then there are my customers. Some of you have been supporting me for YEARS. Some have gone from customers to familiar faces to genuine friends. There are workshops now where it honestly just feels like I’m spending an afternoon making things, drinking tea and eating cake with my mates. 🥰
Building a business has given me so much more than a business.
And sometimes, when you’re busy worrying about what’s next, looking back at how far you’ve already come is pretty good medicine.
Turns out… it’s kind of chic to be exactly where I am. 💚
