I’ve always been a proud supporter of my village carnival, Roche, but this year I decided to take it one step further and join the Roche Carnival Committee.
As a local business, I’m incredibly grateful for the support the committee has shown Cornish Maid Floristry over the years. It’s an honour to provide the posies presented to both the retiring and newly crowned Carnival Royalty each year.
We’re a small committee, so it’s all hands on deck to make carnival week happen, but it’s such a rewarding experience. Seeing the village come together and everyone enjoying themselves makes all the hard work worthwhile.
There’s so much happening this week, with something for everyone:
• Treasure Hunt
• Children’s Disco
• Pool & Darts Competitions
• Quiz Night
• Bingo
• Band Concert
• The Grand Carnival on Friday
Plus, the Scarecrow Festival is running all week, and I’m delighted that my ‘Mary Poppins’ scarecrow is in place ready for the judging!
