I've been meaning to post this for a while and with Father's Day fast approaching I feel I need to actually do it! After a lot of thought, and after a difficult couple of seasons with very few sales I've decided I change how I go forward with My Achille's Heel.

I've done the maths and over the 3 and a half years of My Achille's Heel I have made a big fat zero in profit. I have tried to keep my items at a reasonable price - there are so many people selling the same thing so it's hard to compete, but that often means not charging enough for my time and covering the cost of delivery on materials. It's not all just about the money but I'm not even breaking even and I just can't afford to continue. Just like I know everyone is struggling with the costs of life in general.

Also working full time and trying to manage a home leaves me tired most of the time and I can not dedicate the time to crafting that is needed to source products that people want to buy and that I want to make.

As such I'm unlikely to do seasonal/themed launches for the foreseeable. I will still be taking bespoke requests/orders, such as clothing transfers or an idea for a unique gift so feel free to still contact me with those. Weirdly while preparing this post I was approached to put together a baby box which I am excited to do.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this little business so far. I'm not giving up on it yet I just need to approach it from a different angle for now ###

I always say to my team at work "Honestly I used to be really organised!" I dont know where the time goes but I've left it really late for Easter this year. I do have a few bits to share with you (check out the jars I loved making these a couple of years ago so bought them back!).

Good Morning All,
I've been spending a bit of time trying to come up with some different things for Mother's Day this year.

Mother's Day, for those who need a reminder, is just under a month away. Sun15th March. I don't know about you but I'm hoping for a bit of a break from the rain by then! A bit of spring sunshine and some spring flowers would be perfect.

I'll share the items from my Mother's Day collection today. All orders as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday 4th March.

I'm currently making some transfers for someone to iron on some hoodies. I'll share once complete. I love making matching clothing for girls trips, long awaited family holidays etc. I can work with you to make sure it turns out exactly as you imagined. And they can be done at a reasonable price. If so what are you looking for? Candles, mugs, keyrings, crates, baskets etc.

I've been looking but nothings standing out at the moment. All ideas welcome x
