Originally formed to deliver our existing contract to supply a boot repair service to the army's London District Barracks, the Boot Repair Company is now fielding enquiries from all over the UK including specialist repairs to new Combat High Liability boots for the Ministry of Defence. By popular demand we have also launched our Sports & Leisure website to take care of customers hiking boots, equestrian requirements and sports from climbing to Super Moto boots

All repairs are carried out to the highest standard using the best materials and collected and delivered using our easy to use DPD carrier service.

I messed up last week 🫣

I posted about these 100th anniversary Red Wing 875s last week. And I know you had all been asking to see some of the extra steps throughout the process.

I asked a colleague of mine, who specifically does excellent clean & conditioning work to document the process.

What do I go and do? I post all of it WITHOUT the photos of the cleaning & conditioning 😶

The reason it’s a big deal to me, is the whole point of this now long running Staff Picks is that the staff get to pick! 😂 Showcasing any of the work they’re proud of.

Hands up 🙌 my mistake. Sorry Bullen.

I have to be honest even WE debated repairing these or not 😅

But! These canvas 1460 Dr. Martens were special to the customer, they loved them, and to be fair do you need more of a reason than that?

Might not be to everyone’s taste I know, but personally I think it’s a good vibe when you’ve clearly got a very worn pair of boots or shoes with some new parts on. 🤩

We all thought they looked great in the end. We hope you do too 😊

We’ve got something very exciting to announce to you! 🥳

For years now, we’ve built a fantastic community on here that all appreciate the repairs we have been doing over the years. I’ve been doing the marketing and social media throughout the last three years here and I’m truly grateful to you all for following what we do and chatting with myself on here. ❤️

But I have to tell you, repair has only been a segment of everything we do!

Some of you may know already, we have an eBay store named Second Stride. We’ve been keeping it quiet, getting everything as right as we can and selling pre-loved footwear that has had the same love and care put into it that we put into your footwear!

I even found Red Wing themselves mentioning how rare the 100th anniversary pairs are! 🤩

Granted, I believe the ones they were talking about were Iron Rangers. However I can’t recall EVER seeing these.

Red Wings famously develop a great patina, and these ones are no exception. For sure after we’ve cleaned them a lot of the cuts in the leather are more visible, but it’s better this way to treat that leather and nourish it.

They’re 20 years old for context! They’ll go another 20 easy 💪

So, we’ve been a little busy lately 😅

I can’t stress enough how grateful we are to all of you. I don’t think it’s a secret that shoe repair in general is not really on people’s minds during the summer. So we usually have a little sale to keep everything ticking over.

We never would have expected the summer we had, and how many of you are now trusting us with your beloved footwear now the colder weather is beginning to arrive.

We have to end the sales otherwise we just wouldn’t be able to keep up 🤯 and like I said yesterday we want to do a good job by you all and take the proper time needed to do a great repair for you ❤️

I’ll show some photos tomorrow, but the amount of things we have coming in for repair at the moment is as honestly astronomical.

More importantly than anything, we want to do a good job for each and every one of you. If we keep going at the rate we are right now, then it would be harder to do that! 😂

Has anyone ever seen these before!? 👀

They look like Dr. Martens Churches, and they are Dr. Martens, but we have never seen them without the stitch patterns on them!

They were in need of some TLC with regards to stitching, and of course they needed a new sole too 😊 Really happy with the outcome though! 🤩

Just a friendly reminder that we can resole the plain welted Dr. Martens ✌️ we just have to put a visible stitch on 😊
