Here’s the deal ⚽️

Scotland hasn’t qualified for the World Cup in 28 years. It may be a long time before it happens again ( hopefully it’s not a long time of course 😂 )

Just in case! There is a rare opportunity to have a bit of faith! As all is going well so far for both nations.

If you’d like a resole on your DMs with a white welt. It’s 20% off as long as BOTH teams are still in the World Cup!

So best of luck to Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Available on sandals, shoes and boots now! Drmartensrepairs.com in our bio 🙌

Red, white or blue is in every nations flag so anyone can get jazzy with it! Except Jamaica 🇯🇲 but you do have yellow at least (which is also a stitch option in the sale 😁)

Have a lovely weekend! 🥳 and be kind to everyone ❤️

Ask and you shall receive! 😇

I asked you all if you had any questions for us, and this one is spicy! 🌶️

Just for context. Matt who is answering the question used to work for Dr. Martens and put the soles on countless made in England pairs. I did not put him up to this 😂 this is his opinion on shanks and it is also mine.

Im ready to read the comments 😎 it’s all in good fun after all!

Any more questions regarding shoe repair, cobbling, opinion based stuff. Fire away 😊 we’re happy to help and happy to answer.

Have a lovely evening everyone 🥳

Even the welt on these was seeing the tarmac! 😮

It’s actually brilliant that the sole managed to stay attached to the welt even after a hole started to emerge. 💪

They’re obviously somebody’s ol reliables these made in England 1460s Dr. Martens, and we’re really pleased we’ve had the opportunity to sort them out. As we are with every pair of course! 😎

A little update on the videos, part 1 is almost done on the competition winners boots! I think it’s going to be a 3 parter at least! We just want to get a head start on it and post them all one day after the next, just so you’re not all waiting in anticipation 😇

Working hard behind the scenes! Have a lovely evening everyone 🥳

Quite a rare sight anywhere these! 🤩

And we got to put a new sole on them! Lucky us 🍀

We believe, along with the owner of these shoes (whose boots we did in the “Very Vintage” episode) to be from the late 70’s? They’re certainly from an era when Hawkins were actually making Dr. Martens and had the AirWair sole!

I was not there however! So I’m hoping to see if anyone else knows anything about the history of these? I did see these very shoes pop up in the For The Love of Docs page, and it was great to see such a positive response from our work ❤️

They’d clearly been very well looked after, and I personally like the visible brown stitching on them 😎 Should be good for another 50 years I’d say! 😂

Have a lovely evening everyone 🥳

Trying out something new with this post! 👀

I suppose it’s just so hard to show you just how much we actually do in our Leeds warehouse, and as I walked around today I thought I’d take some photos of the things that caught my eye. 👁️

As Matt explained last week, almost everything we work on ends up in a “last”. This helps the boot/shoe/sandal keep shape whilst we work on the repairs.

So the name “Tales from The Last” came to be! 😁 Just thought of it 10 minutes ago with some help to be honest 😂 but I like it!

Have a look through, see what we do. Do you want to know more about any of the stuff we do here? Is there anything you want to see or know more of?

I’ve always tried my best to be transparent with you all, and almost nothing is off the cards 🃏 Whatever you want to know I’ll try my best to show you 😊

Expect to see these in either photo or video format at least once a week! 🥳

Have a lovely week everyone!

A few people today asked the question of how we managed to get the shape back on those vintage Dr. Martens we posted about yesterday. 😊

Well, who better to ask than the man who did it! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Matt is responsible for putting every new footbed in a pair of Dr. Martens during the repair process and he puts the welt on 99% of them too.

He knows what he’s talking about. Unlike me! 😂

Have a lovely evening everyone 🥳

I couldn’t believe it was the same pair! It’s the shaping at the front, it’s just so different.

It’s testament to how good the repair was on these 💪 my hats off to the team 🎩 as I didn’t have a hat on anyway.

Vintage Dr. Martens 1490s live to die another day 🥳

There’s been radio silence for a few days, I apologise and I can explain!

You won’t even believe me, but our SD corrupted at the end of the shoot and we almost lost EVERYTHING 😳 Including the photo of us all together at the end!

I’ve had to do some serious file recovery and I’m pleased to say we managed to get almost all of the footage back of this incredible repair.

There is so much to go through, and the two of us that edit the videos are currently helping on another project at the minute. So please be patient while we get these videos ready for you. We really can not wait for you to see this! ❤️

To the winner of the competition, we hope your beloved boots have the new lease of life you needed. And finally, we hope they serve you well 😊

Have a lovely week everyone ✌️

The patina on a pair of old Red Wings never disappoints 🤩

The leather can be fully restored back to the original colour, but it always seems a shame to do it! We just kept a good middle ground of making the leather appear well looked after whilst clearly showing their age. The perfect and we’ll deserved combo of any old pair of Red Wing Moc Toes 😎

We showed a little preview of these the other week! 👀

As you can see from the photos they had a hole in the leather stitched 🧵 amongst many other things on these!

These Dr. Martens 1490s came from the Brewers Street event a few weeks ago, along with literally hundreds of others!

We’re very busy, and we’re very greateful ❤️ Thank you to you all ✌️

Have a lovely week everyone 🥳
