Introducing Esme Fisher - A ceramicist working from her studio in St Leonards-On-Sea.

Inspired by ancient icons and vessels, Esme’s approach to ceramics highlights the material, working with textured and heavily grogged clay, reminiscent of architectural materials and bricks. Avoiding studio glazes instead using nerikomi, inlay and the natural clay body, with raw, textured and burnished finishes, echoing the integration of clay to object.

Based in London, George’s practice is rooted in the idea that play should exist in all elements of the design and production of a piece. He believes that if the process of making the piece is fun and silly, it will be reflected in the final product, and will often opt for experimentation with form and process, over intense drawing and planning of what he is making.

These one-of-a-kind sculptural stem vases by Sarma Works are individually hand blown, making every piece completely unique, with its own shape, character and subtle variations.

We’re lucky enough to have a small batch of the vases in-store and are perfect displayed with a single stem, a few delicate flowers, or simply enjoyed as a statement piece on its own.

We’re very pleased to be taking part in Toothsome & Finks Summer Fete on Saturday 15th August at Clisshold House ☀️

The grounds of Clissold House will be filled with flowers to carry home, candles to burn, magazines to pore over, a curation of homewares and accessories, strawberries in their peak, chilli oils to complete your kitchen larder, seasonal fare, and refreshing drinks to keep the festivities well fuelled.
