To all our customers nationwide and regulars at Skirlington Market every weekend you'll all have met our wonderful daughter and stepdaughter Alice helping out serving customers with her cheeky smile on her face.
Well Alice would love to be a vet and in September she will be flying the nest and become a residential student at Bishop Burton college, we here at J&K Chocolates have thought that instead of asking for large donations in order to assist us with Alice's college residential fees we would ask for smaller donations to allow us to raise smaller funds to pay for pitch fees and event fees to allow us to hopefully sell more chocolate bars and raise the larger funds to help Alice start on the long road of achieving her dream of being a vet.

So as we enter April the days are getting longer the evenings are getting lighter and better weather seems to bring a promise of great markets and outdoor events. However having said this April is a quiet month for us this year due to some much needed family time with birthdays , celebrity football matches and concerts we have booked in there's not much room for many events but dont worry we've gone and booked ourselves a three day bank holiday bonanza in May .
We are trading Saturday Sunday and bank holiday Monday in Darlington although the food festival actually starts on the Friday evening so a 4 day celebration for anyone local or visiting Darlington

This is our first time in Darlington and we're looking forward to the famous North East welcome and smiling faces we've seen at many of our events when the good folk of the North East have ventured down the coast.

Whilst we have our traditional quiet month of January (well needed after Christmas sales)we're having a new year new us health kick. Katie is continuing with her swimming and going to gym more as well as eating better, Jamie stopping smoking and going to the gym and swimming.
Well as part of this I've set myself the challenge of 200 push ups from February 5th to February 27th. If anyone would be so kind to make a donation no matter how small to the samaritans. Those who know me well know I've a lot of time for mental health charities through personal experience and personal tragedy so please please donate and I'll do my very best to get this challenge smashed out before February 27th
