I actually managed to get a few hours felting in today working on Chester. He has some very varied colouring so lots of blending of different tones and colours. Most of his undercarriage wont be visible once he's fixed in his final pose lying down but I don't like to cut corners so I add the unseen bits anyway 😊

Just a quick check-in. Firstly welcome to all my new followers & thankyou all, old & new for helping my page to grow to over 1k.
I am still busily felting away when the heat allows.
Its been a roasting hot few days so I do little bits when I can. I'm working on Chester at the moment and he is quite the challenge with his unique brindle markings mixed in with the black, white & grey. Poor Jill has to keep sending more photos of him to help me decipher his uniqueness. She says if I can felt Chester I can felt any dog lol.
Also we've been doing some much needed upgrades to the motorhome including making midge proof fly screens and fitting a new loo as the old one was beyond yucky after 32 years of use. Poor Lee had to saw it in half to get it out of the shower room, he was not best pleased 😕 thankfully it was plastic, anyway, new loo sucessfully installed, water filter next 😉

Just a quick hello everybody. It took over 3 days to move everything into the moho and then out to one of our favourite local spots to get back into the swing of things. We've had little to no signal for 3 days but headed into town for supplies so I thought I'd just let you all know I haven't disappeared 😀 I should be able to get back into the swing of things now and carry on felting 🥰🤗xx

I may be a bit quiet for the next few days as I'm packing the motorhome and we're heading North to our favourite wild places. My wool stash seems to have expanded significantly and I'm having to get creative fitting eveything in ☺️

Frequent handling of the fur on your new wooly companion will result in felting which is what wool naturally does. Here's how to very gently use the felting needle tip by combing through the fur. I send with each creation or something similar to rearrange how your collies fur lies to your personal preference. Be aware each time you do this some loose wool will shed.
Please don't stab yourself it really hurts 🥺🤭
