Unfortunately, as a joint decision between ourselves and Red Hawk, we have cancelled the workshop.

We are sorry to disappoint those of you who wanted to attend and hope to be able to offer it again in the future.

What did we find?

This gorgeous red and white marble was found on the north east coast of the UK last week.

This one is definitely going into our personal collection 😍. We usually try to use all the sea glass we find in our products, but a few special ones, like this, are ours.

We started searching for sea glass as a hobby, whilst out walking the dog on the beach. We found so much that it started taking over the house 🙈 so we started our small business, making all our products using sea glass we collect ourselves.

The seagulls wanted to say thank you to Bradybunch Beachcombers - Sea Glass Creations for cleaning up the beaches. They popped by our stall outside Hull Maritime Museum with Little Hummingbird Events. We’re here til 4pm if you want to support our beach cleaning efforts or grab a photo with the seagulls 😊

For those who think pirate sea glass is rare…

Here’s what we collected on one 5 and a half hour beachcomb last week 😱

We picked up more pirate glass than any other colour combined (except white/seafoam - but I don’t consider those to be colours 🤷‍♀️).

Some of these you can see the colour of in bright sunlight but in the shade they are black.

Pirate glass is so called because, back in the 17th century, many alcohol bottles were made of very thick dark glass to help preserve the alcohol and to enable the bottles to survive being on ships. Whilst not all pirate glass was on a pirate ship 🏴‍☠️, the name is now used for all sea glass that appears black until a strong light is shone through it.

Where will we be this week?

What is buried in the sand?

We found this gorgeous, stripy piece of dragon sea glass on the north east coast of the UK.

Now to decide what to make it into… 🤔
