Last little job I did before Christmas for a lovely 89 year old man in fulwood Sheffield, working for older people is great because they are so humble and kind.

This was a garage conversion which has been changed into a bedroom / wet room so he doesn't have to go upstairs all the time to make it easier access for him.

Happy Christmas and a happy new year to all my customers old and new.

Does anyone know who this could be or any relation, I found it quite funny and so did the customer 🤣

His name is roger makin and there is a family tree written on the wall as well.

This week I have been working for a regular customer for over 20 years.

Unfortunately I couldn't do one of their bedrooms as I was booked up ,so they got another painter in to do it.

Now take a look at this door they did against mine the doors were wooden stained so needed a lot of preparation,filling and sanding.

All the gaps were caulked to hide the black gaps you can see in the not so prepared door the knots were filled out with toupret wood filler and all the nail holes filled, then I used zinsser all coat which the last painter used and I wasn't keen at all with the finish but needed to use it as this bedroom led into a dressing room so needed to match.

The point I am making here is it may look good just looking at a picture on here or on any other social platform but upon close inspection you can see nothing has been prepared right and some customers can't see this.

So remember the most important thing when painting is "PREPARATION" people sometimes say I am slow but that's because I am doing the job right and not cutting corners ,yes I can speed up but you'll never get the same finish like this painter has done for my customer.

Hope I've not bored you to death with my advice😁 and thanks to all my customers over the years who trust my skills.
