I have just packed down after a small workshop at The Cornerstone Restaurant, Sheffield S11. I cannot say how wonderful Abbey, Steve, Harriet and the team were last evening. Drinks and bowls of chips on tap!
The ladies put in some great work, and much laughter... and took home tufted MugRugs.
A slice of toast, a strawberry, and a green sheep!!!
We made a mess, but with the help of a friend who fell in love with my little hoover, it looks pristine again. Leave no trace!!! 😉
I will certainly be here again for more tufting workshops...and chips! Thankyou again Cornerstone

A little preview of some sheepish mug-rugs! I am running a taster workshop soon, helping some lovely creative folks to learn to make their own!
During the workshop we will cover how to use the tufting gun, discuss suitable yarns, and have a practice. Then, draw up the design and get tufting on your own mug rug or placemat.
Once tufted you will learn how to neatly and securely finish the back and trim the fuzzy side to bring out the details and provide a lovely finished product to take home on the day!!
Can't wait until the workshop, to get our own flock of sheep made!!!

Finally our diaries collided and we could finish last week's Owl rug together. She wanted to watch and have a go at the finishing process and carving. So here it is, all ready for framing now. She had such a fun time doing this, the last photo shows just how much she enjoyed herself from start to finish 😁 we had a blast!!!
I cannot wait for the next workshop.... such fun!

I had a lovely day teaching this very creative lady to tuft a rug. She didn't want a simple design, so after some collaboration we came up with a pretty realistic owl which I think looks amazing! A first rug to be proud of I think! Well done to her!
