Time to catch up with my antics over the last week or so, as I've not posted recently. Fished the River Tees 3 dav festival last week which wasn't the best to be honest. as on the first day I drew a great peg..peg 80 Bowsfield which ive drawn before and caught, but on this day looking back I definitely fished it wrong, and ended up with 9lb and 5pts...
Second day was as tough as I drew 178 at Yarm. and finished with 9lb for 4th in section then on the final day I drew Bowsfield peg 7, lovely looking peg, and even had an Otter for company!!!....and caught 16lb on the feeder for second in the section..
Overall, no good with 11pts, but still enjoyed the festival which was extremely well ran... A massive well done to M.Arrowsmith on winning the festival on points and lan Exley winnng the weight festival...
Awesome venue, i just didn't fish it correctly..
UK Champs Round 3 yesterday at Rookery waters so looking forward to venturing down there...long drive but always great fishing... In the bag I drew Crow peg 9, which I was happy with as l've fished this lake a few times...
Started on a method Feeder across using the Aero X7 10ft/Aero xr5000/ dynamite green swim stim/ marine halibut groundbait/ 5mm speedy washter...
7 carp in the first hour on this before it completely shut down on this, so switched to shallow with casters which produced a steady run of F1s for the remainder of the match..
Ended up with 143lb, which was enough to Win the section..so all to play for in the final round at Barston in September..

Highlight of the day was catching this very colourful F1...never seen anything like it...
A massive well done to Dave Burley on winning the match with 240lb..
