MadMolly is a real family business, specialising in good quality gifts for all ages and occasions that will be enjoyed for a long time and in some cases, we hope, will be passed down to future generations. Katherine, my wife, had just had our second baby, Madeleine, and she wanted to work around the tots. The wooden toys proved popular and she soon had to re-order. Other products were taken on to
complement these and gradually she went on-line to sell. A room in our house became a 'warehouse' and shelves went up. We wrapped in the kitchen while Molly & Madeleine (MadMolly) crawled around. Today, MadMolly Trading is still a small family business, offering quality gifts and homeware products to the whole family from 62 suppliers worldwide, with anything from funky keyrings to pop up 'Street Tennis' sets; from luxurious Bath House offerings to many fabulous garden and party buntings. The wooden toys are still a part of our range, in the form of Orange Tree Toys and Bajo, a new fabulous supplier based in Poland offering ingenious and strikingly colourful toys for smaller children. We sell across Europe and the Rest of the World as more people exploit the internet for shopping and postal systems improve, although the UK is the main market for us. We are trying our best on buying expeditions to reduce our dependence on China and to focus more on some talented and creative UK suppliers such as Just Slate Company & Linda MacDonald Jewellery. MadMolly’s main ethos is superb customer service. We look after our customers as we would want to be treated ourselves, both pre and post purchase. Customers can call or e-mail us 7 days a week and we respond 7 days a week. Problems are rare, but we always resolve them to the customer’s satisfaction.
