The fabric used is a beige linen , with cream wool floral embroidery pattern,
This fabric would make a perfect covering for a small chair, or a couple of blinds with a lovely cream/brown and ochre coloured hand embroidered crewelwork from India. Perfect for adding a hint of art to your home.
crewelwork, is a type of surface embroidery using wool. A wide variety of different embroidery stitches are used to follow a design outline applied to the linen fabric. The technique is at least a thousand years old.

Printed on a weave of 100% cotton, using only natural pigments and colours inspired by natural dyeing in the Fermoie Studio. Fermoie use traditional printing methods in their Wiltshire Factory to create a completely original fabric.

Suitable for curtains, upholstery and walling.

WELLAND AND WYE MULTI TERRE BROWN

Lovely sage greens, browns and burnt oranges burgandy using embroidered wool.

Crewel work is long established in Kashmir in India, an art form of some thousands of years old, but its exact origin is hard to trace., but has been in existence roughly since the 11th century.

We have been able to have a few pieces here at the Loft to prevent it going into Landfill.
