A massive thank you to over 90 workshoppers who turned up English Bridge Studios today and took part in badge making, Gel printing, Collage and Linoprint to raise approx £500 for the Perches House Restoration fund ❤️❤️❤️
It was like speed dating for crafters…
Assisted, fed and watered by Pippa Price and Karen Sillar and others 🙏🏽 the workshoppers and workshop hosts enjoyed a Marathon crafting sesh!

Day 5 of a week long residency Swan Hill Studios and the Risographs have been printed onsite AAAAAAH RISO
I love a Riso - never quite knowing what’s going to come out until the last moment (much like traditional printmaking).

Tomorrow I plan to focus and prep some Risograph prints with AAAAAAH RISO - wall art and greetings cards for the “Ci Vediamo” informal preview this Friday (see last slide).

I’m completely ‘cock-a-hoop’ to be experiencing a week’s residency at Swan Hill Studios.
My pop-up is open now between 12-4pm until Saturday 8th Aug, and whilst I’m at Swan Hill I’m also working on a project about 12 years living in Rome (see last 2 slides) with an informal preview this Friday 7th August 5-7pm (all welcome - please RVSP).
This studio is a rare thing - a balance between warmth, aesthetics and neutrality - a place where any style can be accommodated and indeed elevated.
I’ve grouped my work in little ‘collections’ comprising prints, cards, textiles, and printed wooden jewellery charms.
I hope to see you at some point during the week - thank you so much Clare and Sam.

Do you know about the “Town in a Tin” project organised by the wonderful The Makery in the Shrewsbury Market Hall to fundraise for Perches House?
Well there now are over 100 miniature works of art by various creatives celebrating Shrewsbury - all inside a Sardine tin.

You’re warmly invited…

I would love you to join me for an informal preview of “Ci Vediamo” on Friday 7 August, 5–7pm at Swan Hill Studios. Enjoy an Italian aperitivo and be among the first to see brand new prints inspired by the twelve years I was fortunate enough to spend living in Rome. RSVPs appreciated (link in comments).

The preview is part of a week-long artist residency (2–8 August), when I’ll be transforming this most beautiful studio into a working creative space, exhibition and pop-up shop.

Drop in between 12–4pm daily to see new work, browse original Linocut and Risograph prints, discover gifts, or simply stop by for a chat.

Ci Vediamo explores a side of the Italian Capital beyond the postcards - hidden corners of insider Rome, the dialect, rituals, friendships and experiences that you just don’t get as a tourist.
I intend to create prints that are also useful - ideas include a Roman pasta dish recipe card, a map listing alternative destinations and activities in the capital, and the best Roman slang ever.
Throughout the residency I’ll be developing the project in the studio and printing onsite with AAAAAAH RISO , so every visit can offer something new.
