🚨 We're Hiring! Join the Team at the All Creatures Great and Small Exhibition 🐑🐶

Thanks to funding from the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund, backed by York and North Yorkshire Mayor David Skaith, we're excited to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic team for the brand-new All Creatures Great and Small Exhibition at Grassington Town Hall.

We're currently recruiting for:
⭐ Supervisor (1 position)
• Up to 20 hours per week (4 days)
• £13.71 per hour
• Self-employed
• Daytime hours only
⭐ Exhibition Assistants (up to 3 positions)
• 1–2 days per week (up to 10 hours)
• £12.71 per hour
• Self-employed
• Daytime hours only

You'll help create a fantastic visitor experience, welcome guests from across the UK and beyond, support events and marketing, and become part of an exciting new attraction celebrating one of Yorkshire's most beloved TV series.
✨ No previous experience is required. Full training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided.

We're looking for people who are:
✔ Friendly and welcoming
✔ Reliable and organised
✔ Confident communicating with visitors
✔ Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
✔ Computer literate
✔ Passionate about showcasing Grassington and delivering excellent customer service

📅 Minimum 18-month rolling contract

Climate Action Grassington is a group of Grassington residents and friends who are organising the screening of the People's Emergency Briefing! 🌎

The film features footage from last November’s National Emergency Briefing, which brought together leading UK experts in climate science, food security, health, economics, national security, and nature.

It presents a clear, measured overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life in Britain, and what the evidence says about risks and responses.

✨ Celebrating Our Heritage. Building Our Future - Strand 2 of the Vibrant and Sustainable High Street Fund✨

We’re delighted to share our vision for a dedicated All Creatures Great and Small (ACGAS) Community Space in the heart of Grassington.

With the support of the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, we aim to celebrate our town’s rich heritage while recognising the worldwide success of All Creatures Great And Small and the positive impact it has had on our community, economy, and visitor numbers.

Our project will transform the undercroft beneath Grassington Town Hall - Grassington Devonshire Institute into a sustainable, donation-supported visitor attraction, creating a lasting legacy for residents and visitors alike.

🎬 A Celebration Reel
Visitors will enjoy a 7 to 8 minute presentation featuring photographs and short film clips capturing the magic of filming in Grassington, from transformed shop fronts and behind-the-scenes moments to fan experiences and local stories.

📸 Immersive Photo Opportunities
We plan to recreate two to three iconic locations from the series, allowing visitors to step into the world of ACGAS. Potential displays include the surgery telephone stand, Siegfried’s desk, and the entrance to Skeldale House.

🪑 Supporting Local Heritage
Wherever possible, antiques and furnishings will be sourced locally, helping to preserve authenticity while supporting local businesses and craftspeople.

🤝 Working Together for Yorkshire
We are grateful for the opportunity to develop a project that aligns with the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority’s commitment to supporting culture, heritage, tourism, and thriving communities. We also thank David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, for championing initiatives that help local communities grow, attract visitors, and celebrate the unique character of our region.

📅 Project Timeline
Our target completion date is 31 July 2026, with flexibility as the project develops.

Together, we can create a unique visitor experience that honours Grassington’s heritage, celebrates the global success of All Creatures Great and Small, and provides a welcoming space for generations to come.
