If you know anything about old diving gear, not the reproduction display items, the original stuff, you know just how much it weights so stripping this and polishing it in the heat is a killer 🥵 🔥.

But I think the customer will be very happy with the outcome.

This is a genuine old school Russian diving helmet.

A marine ships bridge clock ⏰️. The customer has had this clock for a long time and had originally kept it in its orignal condition, but with a recent decor change in the office they decided they wanted it to be striped and polished. I think it looks amazing. ✨️

Really do enjoy the little jobs in-between the big ones so if you have anything brass or copper that is looking old and you want a quote to have it polished them drop us a DM.

The boys have to learn from a young age, just like I did that nothing is given to you. You have to work for it so.... I brought them to work today as we had a delivery that needed sorting though from some customers.

We had 13 sets of 10x80 German flakglas binoculars arrive all with original head rests and front shades from all types of war time makers including DKL, CXN and BEH. We have also had some 12x60 binoculars arrive and out favorite random item of the day is a Naval SEA MINE 🌊 😀.

Another customer of ours has a old Russian diviers helmet too that the boys wanted to put on and see what it was like... they didnt let me throw a bucket of water over them tho.

What a haul, we are proud to be trusted to restore bincolaurs for customers, dealers, museums and private collectors all over the world.

My first job back, jumping right back into two sets of 12x60s flakglas binoculars. They need to have the full works, be stripped, polished, optics sorting, cradle making and putting them on two beautiful wooden tripods! 💥

Its nice to see that the cream/desert coloured set is completely original after 80 odd years. Everything is still stamped 498 its code from when being assembled. 🔨

We dont usually find 12x60s or 10x80s where all the parts are the orignal matching numbers. 💥

While I have been out of the workshop for two weeks settling in the newest memeber of the Tuck family, Dad has still been very busy at work.

Dad has completed this lovely set of Nikkon 15x80 Japanese binoculars. Originally produced in the 1930s and 1940s, they were heavily used by the Imperial Japanese Navy on battleships and watchtowers. Thease are highly collectable and are also known as 'Big Eye Binoculars'. The customer has wanted them to go onto a polished metal tripod.

I am now back to work as of today and catching up on any ongoing work and projects that have been delayed...

We are back today in the workshop after our newest addition to the team arrived! This newest member didnt have the smoothest arrival spending a week in hopstial after going though A&E but we are now home as a family.

Work will allways take a back seat with us as nothing is more important than family and health. He is well and at home I can get back to work.

Thank you to all who understand this and accepted the delays in your work.

We have some mega hauls of work coming out the workshop in the next month or two so keep your eyes peeled.

But for now let's just enjoy this beautiful boy Alfie. See you in the workshop soon lad 🤣

🏌️‍♂️The mind wonders again when trying to work. I wonder if I can clean up a old set of clubs that are dull.... answer is YES. 🏌️‍♂️

I need another random object to polish 🤣 someone give me some ideas 💡

🌞🥵 With the combination of this heat, Harry and Jacobs school closing tomorrow and Thursday we are going to close our doors as we almost passed out in the polishing room 🙃🥵🌞

However no filters are needed for this stunning set of 12x60 ww2 German binoculars.

The customer has opted for an aluminium polished tripod (I hate doing them 🤣) but my god, they look fantastic in the sun. This set is complete with eye covers, oringal front shades and just look incredible.

Over the mood with how they have come out.

Time to lock up and go home!

A Japanese set of Nikon 20x120 (20x3°) No.4120028. The Japanese made beautiful binoculars and this pair is one of them. The perfect mixture of brass and cast aluminium.

The customer choose to pair it with a Zeiss 'Cone foot' tripod as the tripod has a beautiful grain in the wood and also the perfect brass and aluminium combination.

Lovely clear optics. 👌

Thease come with both Brass and Steel front shades 😎
