What a busy but quick week!
We have been enjoying lots of different play and focusing on our numeracy skills for national number day!
From counting nature items on our nature walk at Eastleigh lakeside country park, to learning about the numbers on the scales and matching to the baking recipe to make some yummy dairy free cheese scones for snack time, which of course to connect to our under the sea interest they had to be octopuses, mermaids and dolphin shaped!
This week we have had some amazing deeper meaning conversations from learning about how octopuses change colour to match their surroundings such as grey to match the rocks and coral, to talking about the sails boats on the water and how the kite high up with blowing in the wind to tell the sailors how to love their boats through the wind and even talking about why there was a man signing on the preschool learning video all about octopuses that we were exploring together.
And to end the half term, we celebrated one of our littles birthday! With jewellery making session and a party disco with disco lights, bubbles, scarves and danny go to end the day. ❤️
Hope you all have a fabulous half term! And see you all back on the 1st!!
