It may not be the school summer holidays yet, but schools are already planning for autumn!

Bookings are now open for my autumn term mosaic after-school clubs at Bernards Heath, St Albans & St Stephen's and Maple School. Camp School bookings will follow shortly 😊

As always, the children have been wonderfully creative this term, and I can't wait to see what amazing creations they'll come up with next. The autumn term is always a favourite, with lots of seasonal inspiration from Halloween right through to Christmas!

Today I'm enjoying working on the memorial bench for Hanna 💜🩷💜 Her favourite colour was purple and she loved rainbows, flowers and lego. Her mum and auntie did a great job on creating the heart and text of her name for the bench. I'm looking forward to showing you the full design once complete 🩷

This week’s mosaic project has been a true privilege to be part of. I have been working with St George’s Catholic School in Harrow to create two memorial mosaic benches in memory of two much-loved pupils, Hanna, aged 7, and Allan, aged 10, whose lives were tragically cut short.

Today was a particularly emotional and meaningful day as we welcomed their families into the school to help shape the mosaic designs. The benches incorporate many of the things that Hanna and Allan loved, creating a lasting tribute that reflects their personalities and the joy they brought to those around them.

It has been a wonderful week. The pupils and staff have been exceptional, bringing creativity, kindness and dedication to every aspect of the project.

Alongside the bench designs, the children also created the 14 Stations of the Cross. These, together with the memorial benches will be displayed in the school’s prayer garden, providing a peaceful space for reflection and remembrance.

Once the completed mosaics have been installed, a Mass will be celebrated with the whole school community as they come together to remember Hanna and Allan, honour their memory, and celebrate the lasting impact they have had on the school family 💜🤗💜
