The Bijou Book Nook Not so Junky Journals

Beautiful handmade journals are a treasure, at any time of the year. Tags and journaling cards provide additional writing space.

Unique handmade junk journals, notebooks, traveler's notebook inserts, folios and pockets, lovingly handmade from an eclectic mix of new, old and repurposed papers, book pages, printed materials, fabric and fibres. Whether you are an avid journaler, memory keeper, note taker or list maker, or whether you are looking for a beautiful, unique gift for a loved one or friend, handmade journals from The

Bijou Book Nook tick all the right boxes. This style of journal is often known as a "Junk Journal", but that really doesn't do these papercraft works of art justice. Lovingly created from an eclectic mix of old and new papers, repurposed and recycled book pages and other printed materials as well as fabric, fibres and charms. Every book will give you ample writing space, and includes pockets, tuck spots and envelopes to keep your souvenirs and secrets safely tucked away. Pages may be decorated with collages or cluster embellishments to complement or co-ordinate with the journal theme or colour. All journals are handmade with care and attention to detail by me, in a pet and smoke free environment. The Bijou Book Nook offers journals to suit different tastes and budgets, please do have a look at the photographs and read the descriptions to help you choose the perfect journal to suit your needs. LAST CHANCE TO BOOK

Calling all journal lovers, please forgive me popping up in your feed if this is not of interest to you. As one of my valued customers or page followers, I wanted to make you aware of a new session I am running on Saturday 22nd November 2025 at Dunston Village Hall, Dunston, Stafford ST18 9AB (just off M6 Jct 13). It is a Junk Journal Pay and Play Day with The Bijou Book Nook. The session will run from 10:00 until 17:00 with light refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits) available on a self service basis throughout the day.

The idea of the Pay and Play Day is to provide a friendly, informal setting for some sociable junk journal play, rather than a formal taught workshop. You would bring along your journal(s) and craft supplies and spend the day crafting alongside some like-minded crafters sharing ideas, techniques and generally just enjoying a day of dedicated me time with people who "get it".

If there is sufficient demand I am hoping to run these Junk Journal Pay and Play Days three times a year. In November, March and July (subject to change depending on venue availability). I am also intending to run these sessions on a not for profit basis, so the expenses would be divided equally amongst all attendees - the more people attending, the cheaper it will be.

As far as fees are concerned, I am asking for a payment of £14 per person (over 18s only, I'm afraid) to be paid by BACS, by no later than 1st September 2025. This payment is initially non-refundable and secures your booking. However, if we have sufficient funds to cover all expenses (venue hire, light refreshments etc) I will be able to refund an equal portion of the fee depending on how much money is left in the kitty after all expenses have been paid. I hope that makes sense!

If you are interested in joining me on this exciting new venture please let me know in the comments and I will be in touch with more information and a booking form.

If you have any questions please either put them in the comments or message me direct.

Places are limited so please don't leave it too late to book.

I really hope you can join me.
