We rigged one of the new Living Ballyhoo as a swimmer and it worked out great!

These great Ballyhoo imitations can be fished anyway you'd fish regular baits but they really perform when trolled behind a Hawaiian eye or Mini chugger lure; Bluefin tuna are all over them but they also take marlin, sailfish and any other predator that'll eat a ballyhoo.

Tighter doesn’t always mean stronger. 🎣

Over-crimping can damage your leader material, while under-crimping can leave a connection that slips under pressure.

The key is controlled, consistent compression.

Before your rig goes into use, check:

✓ The right crimp size
✓ Correct positioning
✓ Consistent pressure
✓ The finished connection

Small details matter when your tackle is put under serious pressure.

When it comes to crimping, tighter doesn’t always mean stronger.

Too much pressure can damage the leader material inside the crimp. Too little pressure and the connection may slip when it comes under load.

Getting it right is about controlled, consistent compression - not simply squeezing as hard as possible.

A few things worth checking when rigging:

🎣 Are you using the correct crimp size for your leader?
🎣 Is the crimp properly positioned?
🎣 Are you applying consistent pressure?
🎣 Have you checked the finished connection before using it?

Small details matter when your tackle is put under serious pressure.

Spike's buddy Charlie was trolling around a trawler working off the West coast of Portugal when he found this Silver Scabbard fish which must have come from the trawl. It's a real big one and they're good to eat, FRYING TONIGHT!!!

We're going fishing! We've received an offer to join Kev & Steve for their 5 day live aboard charter departing on Monday so of course we snatched their hands off! Fishing takes priority as we all know so any orders received during the next week won't be despatched until we return on Monday 24th August.

We generally prefer to stick to fishing on this site but bear with us as this is important. Please consider signing this petition against the early release of the killers of PC Andrew Harper. No matter how full our prisons are we should be able to find space for filth like those two.
