Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone. I hope a good time was had by all.
I have been reviewing the past year and preparing for 2026 and have decided to make a change to the way I use purchasing platforms.
The cost of running a website has now been increased again by the Host Company and I have reviewed the purchases, and therefore the benefit of keeping this method of selling online running.
I have 2 choices... keep it running and increase the cost of my products to reflect this or shut down the website.
Sales through the web page do not warrant this price increase and as my contact details are on all my labels customers can contact me directly to make a purchase, and most actually do this anyway. I do not believe that increasing the costs of my products to payout to a 3rd party is beneficial to anyone other than the Web Host. Its hard enough already keeping costs down due to the constant increases in the raw materials without adding more that I do not believe brings value.
I have therefore decided that as of today to cancel the agreement with them and it seems they have immediately closed down the website - no surprise there!
I will continue to use Facebook.
I hope that you all agree that this is the most beneficial course of action for all concerned and look forward to your continued support in 2026.
