So this is my crochet blanket project - not actually my photo as I have still got to finish two panels and do the edging but hopefully this is what it will look like when done! It has been great fun to do as well as a bit mentally taxing at times😄

Getting used to this retirement malarky! But! it is a strange feeling! Signed up for a Sirdar crochet along class at Truro Fabrics and I am making the Blossom and Buds blanket, learning new stitches every week - it's good fun but quite a lot of crocheting to fit in every week so I am behind already!😂😂 Hope everyone is enjoying stitching their cross stitch designs - it's much easier - honestly! We've also had a few really nice summer days so able to get out in the garden so catching up after the very wet "spring"! This is a lovely time of year😍😍🥰 xx

Only a couple more days until I retire so if you want any of my kits please order as soon as possible before the end of 30th April and I will be happy to send the kits to you. We have been working hard to ensure that all the shops I supply are now stocked up so you can still obtain kits from them. Since my announcement about my retirement I have been busy with orders for shops who want to stock up before I finish. Here we have the components for 170 kits - sorters threaded, paperwork printed, photos stuck on front cards, aida folded, just need to put needles in. Final assembly and delivery in the next few days then I have another 60 Samplers to put together- at this rate I'll need to retire to recover!!🤣🤣🤣 Thanks also to everyone who has ordered direct from me! 2024 A year of Celebration and Farewell!

This year, 2024, Sybilla Davis Designs celebrates 30 years of trading! In that time I have created over 100 plus cross stitch designs of National Trust and English Heritage properties, castles, buildings, views and towns in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly, Devon, Avon, the Wye Valley and other places, as well as smaller designs and a variety of private commissions. I have supplied many retailers over the years and seen them come and go but there are some stalwarts who are still trading and stocking my kits – thank you. I was also one of the first businesses in Cornwall to have a Web Site back in the day when it was all so new and we had dial up Broadband! I am very moved that so many cross stitch enthusiasts have bought my kits either from shops or direct from me, there are those who have been purchasing my designs for a great many years and have collections on their walls, some people have made the designs into cushions whilst one lady from Canada even made a selection of them into a bedspread!

I have had dealings with so many lovely folk and the personal contact has always meant a lot to me, however having been in business for 30 years I have decided sadly that now is the time to retire. The decision has taken a long time to consider but all good things must come to an end so I will cease trading from 30th April 2024. In the meantime we are totally committed to fulfilling all orders that are placed prior to the end of April. Please note that as well as the cross stitch kits for sale on my web site there are a variety of completed stitched designs ready for framing – please contact me for details of which designs are available (email: [email protected])

Over the years I have been pleased to hear from folk who have found stitching to be very therapeutic, helping them to get through difficult periods in their lives, additionally, during the Covid Pandemic we experienced a surge in demand as people had time to indulge themselves in creative activities. Others have enthused about the clarity of the charts, having the threads sorted onto organisers and the detailed instructions. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed creating the designs, dealing with all you lovely folk, and also giving talks to various groups and meeting people face to face. Thanks to my husband and my family for all their support and to you all for your lovely comments and for purchasing my kits!
