Is that real gold or gold flavoured paste? Either way here’s something we finished off this week…

This is a comfort contoured single piece of swamp ash T type, finished in open pore Olympic white with gold pushed into the open grain, lace sensor H bridge and standard T neck. We’ve cut the paint back in places (it did get smoothed out, this was a progress shot) to expose the beautiful piece of wood!

Look at that grain!!

What’s the best tele neck pickup?

The answer is firebird… no contest!

Built this for Adrian Gautrey last year and it’s been played in like you wouldn’t believe. Had a few little repairs today and this morning it had a white guard, this afternoon it a black guard and I think that’s where it’s at for this! Now all ready for the Huey Morgan tour

Check out that checking too, most of that is natural after a small@kick start, it’s not uniform which is how it should be.

How cool is this 1973/74 wide range tele in bottle green?

Did a bit of work on this guitar a few years ago and now it’s up for sale!!

It’s got original CuNiFe wide range pups which are stunning, if you’ve never heard proper wide range pups this is where it’s at, crisp, clear and totally even. Original tuners, k***s and bridge, pots are dated ‘73, serial puts it at 73/74.

Refin was early on and looks to have been natural originally, it’s been refret with medium jumbos and they’ve loads of life in them and NO overspray on the neck. Original saddles are in the case.

This is one of my favourite teles ever and is up for sale at £3300 direct.

Look who paid a visit…

Sophie Galpin getting prepped for what she’s off to do next, something with Niall Horan

We built this guitar for her a few years ago, pink bound white tele. Couple of bits to get it tour ready and it’s good to go.

Which do you prefer? Heavy relic Gibson or NOS black on gold top Japanese CSL?

Of all the guitars we’ve built replicas or tributes to Old black is probably the most common. The CSL we’ve just finished.

Two LP ‘replicas’ and a tele, telecaster and Jazzmaster ‘tributes’. All with Leigh Greenhough

Will do some vids comparing them this week.

Ladies and gents please keep an eye out for this guy trying to sell this guitar.

The guy in the photo was trying to sell us a a pre CBS mash up, ‘63 neck, ‘65 electrics and body looks to be from around then.

The guitar was stolen from Johnny Roadhouse Music™ and was sold by Foulds Guitars in January this year.

We tried really hard to keep him in the shop, as it was clearly stolen, while we waited for the police (they didn’t arrive). He started getting antsy and potentially aggressive until he grabbed the guitar which I had apart on my desk stalling him, so…

It now has no pickguard and the pickups are hanging out, making it pretty much unsellable for him now without it going online.

If you see it let John at Johnny Roadhouse know.
