Disappointed to let you know the charity walk on Thursday has been cancelled. I’ll find a date soon that I can walk the full route. I don’t want to let you down. Everyone has been so generous with their donations.
The safety of all 41 walkers in this heat is priority.

Keli Comes to Poynton

The morning Keli Pelican swept through the door of Hand Picked by Henrietta, Sarah was busy untangling a bunch of helium balloons that had clearly decided to form their own opinions about where they wanted to be.

“Darling!” announced Keli, adjusting her microphone feather. “I’m in Poynton! For research.”

Sarah looked up. “Oh lovely. Are you after a card or a gift, or—”

“I’m after content,” said Keli firmly. “The Beak goes where the stories are. And I have it on very good authority that this shop is the place.”

She was not wrong. Within twenty minutes, Keli had interviewed Bartholomew Bear Seafarer about his feelings on the Cheshire countryside (“Very landlocked, but I’m being open-minded”), secured an exclusive with Puddlesea Bunny about her summer aesthetic, and attempted — unsuccessfully — to get a quote from Amuseables Pebble, who said absolutely nothing and showed no signs of changing that.

“Classic Pebble,” muttered Keli, scribbling notes.

She paused at the window, gazing out at Park Lane with its little row of independents, the hanging baskets just coming into their own.

“You know,” she said quietly, “Chip Seagull would hate it here. No chips. No beachgoers.”

“We do have Legami limited edition erasable pens,” offered Sarah.

Keli tilted her head thoughtfully. “…I’ll take three.”

She left with a signature pink gift bag, a Father’s Day card she spotted in the window (“For my producer. He knows what he did.”), and a new episode practically writing itself.

She never did get Ricky Rain Frog on the show.

But Poynton? Poynton delivered.
